This note is to inform you that we plan to close this discussion forum indefinitely. We thank you for your engagement - "lurkers" and contributors alike! - in the discussions held within this forum over the past eight years. There have been some stimulating, exciting, and sometimes controversial topics, indeed!

As we further develop our web platform and processes, we have decided that, in the future, we will use our discussion forums to hold brief, targeted discussions on specific topics related to the development of concrete events or resources.

Comments related to future Drum Beat topics/opinion pieces will be collected either through an expansion of our Blog process (for examples, please see http://www.comminit.com/en/development_policy) OR through our "Page Reviews" feedback form (at the bottom of most pages on The CI websites - see http://www.comminit.com/en/current_drumbeat.html for an example).

For new commentaries, opinion pieces, and newsletters on topics of interest to you, please make sure you are subscribed to The Drum Beat:
