Hi Everyone,

I am about to close up shop for the next couple of weeks and wanted to send you all best wishes for the holiday season. 2009 will be an interesting year!

I will be back in January and look forward to seeing everyone's drafts early in the New Year. We have now confirmed a date and venue for presenting our research findings - Friday March 13 at George Washington University

The meeting is tentatively titled:

Health Communication: Polio Lessons (better ideas happily accepted!)

And we will be promoting it and asking for early registration in January.

The rough agenda is:

8:30: Doors open.

9:00: Welcome

9:30: Session 1 - Lessons from the field.

11:00: Session 2 - Recent research on polio experience with data driven communication, advocacy communication and social mobilisation.

12:30: Unhosted lunch

1:30: Session 3 - Policy Maker reflections key lessons for health communication

3:00: Final comments and closing.


We will flesh out the panelists, more details for the papers etc early in 2009.


The deadline for papers ready to be peer reviewed will be near the end of March though we will need final drafts ready for the meeting in March.

So lots to do and so little time....

However, for now let me wish you a restful holiday.
